Open MIC NIGHT!
Tomorrow night, OCTOBER 29, 2008...
Mike Hansen, the president of the club, wrote me, and all the members of the music club, an email announcing the event. Here's what he wrote:
"Hey everybody.
OK, here we go, we're gonna do this open mic thing again this Wednesday from 7pm to 10pm in the little theater. We have had some cool folks sign up already to play some great songs. PLEASE BE ON TIME if you can (7pm, 7pm 7pm!!!!!!!).
We are going to have the playing order on the white board on stage, if you are late and miss your turn, you may have to wait until the next open mic to play. There were a lot of people who didn't get a chance to play last time because of time constraints, so we are just laying down a few ground rules so that everyone will get a fair chance to perform. If you are interested in playing and haven't emailed us yet, please do so before Wednesday, ok?
To sum up:
1. sign up (email)
2. be on time!
3. have fun.
ONE MORE THING: I had a few people ask me if you have to be in the music club to perform. the answer is yes. if you are not a club member, please join music club so you can use the music club gear that our other members have paid for the right to use. thanks!
-Mike"
Check out the video from last open mic night, put on by the music club (audio and video are a bit out of sync, something went wrong, but it's still good audio).
